Unique to the Lavender House, Terry &
Kathy are delighted to offer a selection of activities that
can be pre-booked. Usually lasting a couple of days, or
longer, they give you the opportunity to learn a new skill,
further an existing one, or just have fun doing something
different!
Montemboeuf Music Festival - Now in
its 10th year, this annual music festival takes place around
the second weekend in September and features live music for
all tastes, from jazz through to rock.
Circuit des Ramparts - Join us on our
perennial favourite classic car event of the year, the
Circuit des Ramparts historic car race weekend. All the
elements of this classic and vintage car event make it a
must for those yet to try it. The town of Angouleme comes
alive to the sound of vintage and classic cars throughout
the circuit, usually around the third Weekend in September.
From the Friday evening you will see classic and historic
cars from the rare and exotic to the weird and wonderful.
Dinghy Sailing - Terry has numerous
years experience teaching children and adults the rudiments
of sailing, so be you a complete novice or just looking to
improve, this one to one tuition may be the answer.
Hiking & Land Navigation - A qualified
Mountain Leader, Terry also has numerous years experience
leading groups on expeditions through the wild mountain
regions of the UK. Whilst there are few mountains around
(although Montemboeuf is reputed to be the highest part of
the Charente!) gentle walking around the rolling countryside
or forests of the local area whilst learning to map read may
be the ticket for you.
